FAQs

Ordering and shipping

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. Orders of $30 or more ship free within the United States. Under $30, shipping is calculated at checkout based on your address.

Where do you ship?

We ship anywhere in the United States. We don't ship internationally yet.

How long until my order arrives?

Orders leave us within 1–2 business days and ship UPS. Most orders arrive 5–7 business days after they ship. You'll get a tracking link by email the moment it's on its way.

What if something arrives damaged or isn't right?

Reach out and we'll make it right. Glass jars are packed to travel, but if one arrives broken or your order isn't what you expected, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo and we'll send a replacement or sort out a refund. Because honey is food, we can't accept returns once it's shipped — see our return policy.

The honey

Do you add anything to your honey?

No. Every jar is raw honey from American bee farms, with nothing added — no sugar, no syrup, no preservatives. Our Hot Honey is raw honey, peppers and vinegar — that's the whole label. MisoHeat starts from the same raw honey; its full ingredient list is on the jar.

Where does your honey come from?

American bee farms we work with directly, one variety at a time. Our Alfalfa comes from Colorado, our Clover from South Dakota, and the honey in our Honey Sticks is South Dakota clover too. Hot Honey starts from Midwest raw honey. Every jar is traceable to the farm it came from, and The Honey Hunt is how we go find the next one.

Why does your honey taste different from the honey aisle?

Because each jar is one floral source, raw, and never flash-heated. Alfalfa is light and smooth; Clover is classic and mellow; Creamed is thick and spreadable; Hot Honey brings a slow sweet heat. When honey isn't heated hard or blended to a single flavor profile, you taste where it came from.

Care and storage

My honey has gone thick or grainy. Is it still good?

Yes. That's crystallization, and it's what raw honey does over time — it's a sign the honey wasn't heavily heated. It's perfectly good to eat as is (many people prefer it on toast). To bring it back to liquid, set the jar in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes and stir. Skip the microwave; high heat changes the flavor. Full walkthrough: How to rewarm crystallized honey.

Does honey expire?

Stored in a sealed jar at room temperature, honey keeps indefinitely. The "best by" date on our jars is about peak flavor, not safety. Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from the stove, and cap it tightly so it doesn't draw in moisture.

Can I bake and cook with it?

Absolutely — that's the point. Alfalfa is the baker's honey: it sweetens without taking over. Hot Honey is made for pizza, fried chicken, roasted vegetables and cheese boards. Creamed spreads straight from the jar. Swapping honey for sugar in a recipe takes a couple of adjustments — our honey-to-sugar conversion guide has the ratios, and the recipes are where we keep proving it.
